Thank You for Considering Volunteering at Heartland!
Volunteering at an animal shelter can be a very physical orientated task. We ask that all volunteers that wish to work with cats or dogs be able to
-Run, Jog, or Walk at a fast pace if needed
-Run Backwards if needed
-Lift weight of up to 30 lbs
We request that all new volunteers attend a volunteer orientation. Click here for orientation times. Volunteer shifts may be scheduled from 9am-7pm during the weekdays and 9am-4pm on weekends. All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
If you are under 18 years of age then you will be required to have your parent or legal guardian attend the orientation with you and they must sign a minor release waiver form to proceed.
In efforts to help the animals at our shelter, please bring an item off our wish list upon your first orientation.
