New Volunteer Orientation - The new volunteer orientation is held once a month from 4:15-5:00 pm at the shelter. Please see our upcoming orientation dates below. For the Following Meetings please email Lisa Dister, Volunteer Coordinator with questions: lisa@heartlandanimalshelter.net
In efforts to help the animals at our shelter, please donate an item off Our Wish List at the time of the orientation to help feed our homeless animals!
STEP #1:
Attend A New/GeneralVolunteer Orientation (no registration is required)
The Next New Volunteer Orientation Dates Are: - Saturday May 26th at 4:15pm (lasts 1 hour)
- Saturday June 23rd at 4:15pm (lasts 1 hour) ***No Orientation on Sat June 30th, switched to Sat June 23rd*** STEP #2:
After Attending the New/General Volunteer Orientation Please attend our Cat or Dog Orientation: The next Cat/Dog Orientation Dates Are Below.
Cat Room Orientation - You Must attend a New Volunteer Orientation and a Cat Orientation before starting to Volunteer with the cats:

-Saturday June 2nd at 4:15pm (lasts about 1 hour)-Saturday July 7th at 4:15pm (lasts about 1 hour)Dog Kennel Orientation -You Must attend a New Volunteer Orientation and a Dog Orientation before starting to Volunteer with the dogs:

Please attend a General Volunteer Orientation to learn more! This is a required class before fostering.
