at Playful Paws
680 Milwaukee Ave.
Prospect Heights, IL
Join Heartland Animal Shelter for a Pet Wellness Class on Sunday, October 3rd from 11 am – 1 pm at Playful Paws at 680 Milwaukee Avenue in Prospect Heights. In this class conducted by Barb Koffski, you will learn how to recognize sudden illness, evaluate your pet using the “Top to Tail” method and discover what is normal for your pet. She will also discuss the spread of disease between you and your pet and will demonstrate pet CPR. There will be time for questions after the presentation.
The cost for the event is $15 with the proceeds benefiting Heartland’s Dr. Do More Fund, which is the special fund that enables Heartland to provide medical treatment to sick and injured animals that are admitted to the shelter. In the past year, Heartland has been able to provide care and surgery for a severely frost-bitten cat named Mrs. Dalloway; provide treatment for a senior cat with thyroid disease named Scarlett, perform treatment for Beemer the dog who had a broken leg, and surgery for Radar who had a perineal hernia.
