Heartland Animal Shelter is hosting a
PET FIRST AID/CPR CLASS
Sunday May 15th from 4-8pm
Fee: $35.00 (per person)
This is a four hour lecture/discussion/hands-on class designed for teens/adults. It will give you the knowledge to perform emergency first aid to a dog or cat until it can be transported to a professional Veterinarian for care. During this class you will learn to recognize an emergency and how to apply emergency first aid. CPR and Rescue Breathing will be taught with plenty of time for practice on pet mannequins. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of sudden illness and how to properly respond to these potentially life-threatening illnesses. Finally, you will learn how to turn your family First Aid Kit into a Pet Friendly one and how to create an Emergency Preparedness Kit for your pet.
Your pets, as much as they would like to be with you, will be happier at home. Feel free to bring
their picture to class.
